What this site is

GrammarVista.com is a free educational website about English grammar, vocabulary and writing. There is no account, no payment and no subscription.

Using the lessons and tools

You may use the lessons and tools freely for learning, teaching, study and your own writing, including in a classroom. You may link to any page.

Please do not copy the lesson text or example sentences onto another website. The rules of English belong to nobody, but the explanations and examples here were written for this site.

What the tools are and are not

The checker looks for a defined set of grammar, spelling and wording problems, all of which are listed on the tools page along with the categories it cannot catch.

A clean result means nothing on that list matched. It is not a guarantee that your writing is correct. The tools do not replace a teacher, an editor or professional proofreading, and no outcome is promised for any exam, application or piece of work.

Accuracy

Lessons are checked against established English usage before publication. English still has genuine grey areas, regional differences and disputed points, and any page may contain a mistake. If you find one, report it through the contact page and it will be corrected.

External links

Some pages link to outside references such as Wikipedia or government writing guidance. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices, and we do not control their content.

The site is provided as it is. It may be offline for maintenance or changed without notice.
